On October 25, 2010 SMA will be conducting a national online omnibus survey. Clients can book their own private questions to be included in this survey.

We expect a  sample size of completed surveys -around 10,000 responses


Segmentation

Included in the survey are shared demographic questions, so results will be segmented by;

  • Gender
  • State
  • University
  • Broad area of study (DEWR categories plus lawt)
  • Domestic vs International
  • Year enrolled

Costs

  • $400 set-up fee.
  • $350 per stand-alone question.
    (eg "Think about the last piece of major software you acquired, Did you;  a) Purchase it online,  b) Purchase it from a store  c) Get an unofficial free copy from a friend  c) get it an unofficial free copy online.
  • $200 per line item in a matrix question.
    (eg "For each of the following, rate each out of 5. 1 being strongly disagree, 5 being strongly agree;  a) most of my friends buy software,  b) most of my friends get pirate software  c) pirated software is just as reliable as bought software. d) I mainly get music by purchasing it.


Reporting:
1. Your question results by total responses.
2. Your questions by each demographic variable.
3. The raw data to your questions, including segmentation data to further analyze.

In following years, if you run questions again, time-series comparisons will be available.
